Inspired Education Group has announced its first venture into Canada after entering into a partnership with a K-12 school in Toronto.

Newton’s Grove School, which has two campuses in Greater Toronto in Southern Ontario, will now come under the Inspired umbrella as the group continues to explore new markets.

Inspired already has a global footprint of 123 schools across six different continents, educating over 95,000 students in the process.

Gabrielle Bush, director at Newton’s Grove School, stated that the move to partner with Inspired offers global opportunities for their pupils.

She said: “Students’ horizons are broadened through enriching international exchange programmes and unique global summer camp experiences.

“These opportunities allow students to explore new environments and develop lifelong skills such as independence, confidence and resilience.”

Increased global demand for quality education

Meanwhile, in another example of further growth, North London Collegiate School International (NLCS) has announced it will be opening a school in Hong Kong.

NLCS International already has schools in London, Jeju, Dubai, Singapore and Japan as it continues to grow and explore new markets.

Gwen Byrom, director of education strategy at NLCS, said: “We are delighted to bring our unique blend of academic ambition and individual support for every child to Hong Kong.”

The moves from both Inspired and NLCS come at a time of increased global demand for quality education.

Established schools, including those from the UK, have sought to meet this demand by promoting their reputation and expertise abroad.

Just this week, Queen Elizabeth’s School, a selective grammar school in North London, announced it will launch an affiliate fee-paying branch school in Dubai, becoming the first state school to open overseas.
