A ready-to-use sextortion assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 that shows students how online blackmail works, how to spot it early and what to do if it happens.

THE TRAP walks through how the trap is built, step by step: the new follower and the love bombing, the move to a private app, the fake picture sent “first, and the threats that follow. Then it turns on one message: “You’re not in trouble. You’re in a trap. Students leave with red flags to look out for, clear steps to take and places to get help.

What’s included
• Editable PowerPoint assembly, about 12 to 15 minutes
• Detailed speaker notes on every slide, with teaching points, sources and short lines you could say
• Editable slide for your school’s reporting process
• Teacher guide with preparation notes, KS3 adaptation notes and answers to likely student questions
• Help services: Childline, Report Remove, CEOP, Take It Down, Samaritans and Shout

The advice follows the National Crime Agency’s sextortion guidance and supports the statutory RSHE guidance for England (2026). Throughout, the blame stays with the person making the threats, never the young person.
