A complete, ready-to-teach German lesson on classroom objects, der / die / das, ein / eine, colours and plurals, for absolute beginners. It includes a full lesson and a practice worksheet, both in PDF and fully editable Word format. Students show a new German classmate around their own classroom, using real objects for every task, and learn the key idea of German grammar: every noun is der, die or das. Perfect as the fifth lesson of a KS3 / Year 7 German course.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
– Lesson (9 pages): briefing, 4 missions, final role-play mission, one-page phrase sheet (Spickzettel), full teacher plan and answers
– Worksheet (6 pages): 16 exercises in three levels (Warm-up, Training, Challenge), self-check, target and feedback box, answer key
– PDF and fully editable Word versions of both

THE 4 MISSIONS

Die Dinge – 18 classroom objects in three columns (der, die, das), with two simple clues: words ending in -e are usually die, and words ending in -chen are always das. Ends with a “what’s missing? memory game using real objects.
Was ist das? – Das ist ein … / eine …, with one easy rule: only die words take eine. Ends with a “mystery bag guessing game.
Die Farben – 12 colours with pronunciation hints, and how “it follows the article (der → er, die → sie, das → es): Der Kuli? Er ist blau. Ends with Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst, the German “I spy.
Der Plural – five plural patterns in one table (Tische, Taschen, Kulis, Bücher, Fenster), the good news that every plural takes die, and Wie viele …? Ends with a pencil-case count in pairs.

Each mission follows the same steps: Learn → Drill → Do, ending with a game or partner task. The final mission, “The classroom tour, has three situations: showing a new student around, the lost-property office (Meine Tasche ist weg!), and counting things in the room with es gibt. It also recycles Lessons 1–4: greetings, numbers, du/Sie and introductions.
