In this activity, students will examine the causes of the Roman civil war of AD 68–69 and explore why the first three emperors each failed to hold power. They will also investigate how Vespasian’s military strength and political strategy allowed him to end the conflict and establish the Flavian dynasty.

It has 10 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
