Year 5 Maths Prerequisite Review: 144 Exit Tickets

A focused A4 assessment and consolidation bank for pupils aged 9–10 in England. Use 144 two-question tickets to identify gaps, revisit lower-KS2 foundations and practise selected Year 5 fraction and measurement skills. This is a supplementary practice bank, not a complete Year 5 curriculum or a standardised test.

Included: 46 printable PDF pages; 36 pupil-practice pages with four tickets each; 18 skills with tickets A–H; 288 questions; teacher guidance and England curriculum links; an individual skill tracker; five answer-key pages; terms of use.

Topics include multiplication and division facts, multiples of 10, word problems, unknown factors, fractions of a whole, fraction positions including values greater than one, equivalent and comparing fractions, rectangle area and perimeter, missing sides, rounding, three-digit addition and subtraction, elapsed time, mass and interpreting pictogram data described in words.

The teacher map distinguishes Year 3–4 consolidation from selected Year 5 work. British English, metric garden and length contexts, and A4 layout are used throughout. Fraction questions specify equally sized wholes where needed. Answers accept equivalent fractions.

Use a ticket after a lesson, for spaced review or to plan follow-up teaching. Pupils can show working and record confidence; teachers should check reasoning as well as scores. Single-classroom licence. Created by Mathew Sunday, FUN CASE.
