This Year 2 Uni-Hoc Scheme of Work provides a progressive sequence of lessons that introduce pupils to the fundamental skills of hockey through fun, engaging and inclusive activities. Designed specifically for Key Stage 1, the unit develops confidence with a stick and ball while promoting teamwork, communication and game awareness.

Throughout the six lessons, pupils build their dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and ball control skills before applying them in increasingly challenging small-sided games. Lessons are carefully sequenced to ensure children develop technical competence alongside decision-making, spatial awareness and sportsmanship.
