This complete Year 7 Spanish PowerPoint lesson brings together pet vocabulary with full personal description so pupils can talk confidently about themselves and the animals in their home. Designed as a full-hour, ready-to-teach PPT lesson, it opens with a clear learning objective (I am learning how to describe myself and my pets) and a three-part starter that recaps pet nouns in Spanish, the tengo / tiene distinction and adjective agreement, with model answers revealed on the next slide for immediate AfL.

A sentence-builder reference slide then consolidates talking about yourself with En casa tengo and about others with Mi amigo or amiga tiene, alongside the rules for masculine and feminine adjective endings plus the invariable adjectives grande, azul, verde and naranja. A pronunciation tip reminds pupils to sound every vowel clearly.

The new core vocabulary slide introduces personal information in four colour-coded blocks. Basics covers Me llamo, Tengo años and Mi cumpleaños es el plus the months. Family teaches Vivo con with mi madre, mi padre, mi hermano and mis padres. Physical description provides Tengo el pelo with rubio, castaño and negro and Tengo los ojos with azules, verdes and marrones. Personality gives Soy with adjectives like simpático, divertido, tímido, trabajador, amable and hablador, and relationships introduces Me llevo bien con and Me llevo mal con. Two worked model paragraphs (Ana and Pablo) show pupils how to weave it all into a fluent self-introduction, with a prompt to include a pet.

Production is then practised on mini-whiteboards with six graded translation tasks moving from name and age to hair and eyes, family relationships and a full En casa tengo sentence about a pet. Ideal for a one-hour lesson, cover or homework setter.
