I have been a Writing Lead for many years and Assessment Lead and I wanted to streamline writing assessment in our school, support progression and make clear links to the Year 2 and Year 6 TAF.

This pack includes:

• Clear progressive statements, aligned directly to the National Curriculum.
• Years 1-5 include Working Towards, Expected and Greater Depth statements that I have curated to support adaptation and challenge. The Greater Depth statements are not for all of the objectives, only those that naturally lend themselves to achieving Greater Depth in Years 2 and 6. The Expected statements are directly from the National Curriculum.

There are two versions for every year group (one where the WTS and GDS statements are on separate pages and one version where they are alongside eachother for close comparison).

• Child-friendly copy-Working Towards, Expected and Greater Depth are separated so you can track this. It has been designed to go in the back of their books.
• There is space to date evidence against each statement.
