Celebrate World Snake Day with this engaging and informative whole-school assembly that helps children discover the fascinating world of snakes. Pupils will learn about snake evolution, incredible adaptations, record-breaking species and the important role snakes play in ecosystems around the world.

This assembly takes children on a journey through snake history, from giant prehistoric snakes such as Titanoboa to the more than 3,500 snake species that exist today. Pupils will explore how snakes use their tongues to smell, how some species can detect heat and why snakes don’t need external ears to hear vibrations around them.
