A visual, colourful and ready-to-teach RE PowerPoint that helps Year 9 think carefully about one of the biggest questions: is it ever right to fight? Pupils learn the just war criteria, explore Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and Sikh teachings with accurate terminology, and study pacifism and conscientious objection. Modern challenges such as drones and cyber warfare test the criteria. Two interactive activities, a just war case study and a structured debate, develop reasoning, and a worked evaluation structure shows how to build a balanced argument. Balanced and respectful throughout, non-specialist friendly and ideal as a cover lesson. The closing slide shows how the topic builds towards GCSE Religious Studies themes on peace and conflict.
