This resource is aimed at learners from 16 to 18 years old who are studying IBDP Cold War History. It can also be adapted to meet GCSE or A-Level curriculum requirements.

This is a worksheet to review learning about the Yalta and Potsdam Conferences. The aim is to clarify student learning about what was US and Soviet policy towards Germany using a table format. The worksheet addresses misconceptions students have about the early Cold War.

The resource has three pages, the first is for students to complete. The second page includes suggested answers. The third page includes teaching notes explaining how to teach the activity.

There is a related worksheet in this shop focusing on the same questions through the lens of 1948. This other worksheet can be used to complement this one to compare, contrast, and discuss superpower changes towards Germany between 1945 and 1948.

The worksheet is available in an editable .docx format and a locked .pdf format. This should take around twenty to thirty minutes to complete. This can be used as homework, for a review in class, or an extension activity.
