• Guided research slides that support students in completing independent work on the key features used in microorganism virulenc mechanisms with prompts to ensure students write detailed and high quality work
• Summary slide covering the guided research slides
• Students are provided a comparison table to complete as they go along or as homework for the next lesson which allows students to have the key features of the pathogens summarised to use as a template for their distinction comparison
•To achieve a distinction level comparison, students are shown a weaker and a stronger comparison. Key points of a strong comparison are highlighted and students are provided a writing frame
