This resource is a hands-on, cut-and-paste activity designed to help preschoolers and young children reinforce learning from the story, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.

Key Learning Objectives
Days of the Week: Children will practice sequencing and memorizing the days of the week (Monday through Sunday) in order.

Story Recall: It helps children memorize the specific foods the caterpillar ate each day, connecting the story events to the correct day.

Fine Motor Skills: The activity significantly develops fine-motor skills through cutting out the circular templates and carefully gluing the food items onto the correct day’s spot.

How the Resource Works
