An interactive and visual EAL resource that follows the story of a mother and her two children who suddenly leave all that they know and travel far away to a new place with a new language and different ways to do things.

The resource is the first part of a two-part series of resources based on the beautiful story “The Journey,” written by Francesca Sanna. The collaborative and interactive activities in this resource provide learners with opportunities to become familiar with, develop and use vocabulary associated with the story. The resource is suitable for KS1-2 Year groups 2- 4.

The resource pack includes two sets of vocabulary flashcards as well as two bingo boards; one for verbs and one for adjectives associated with the story.
