St Patrick’s Day maths colour by number for Year 6 and Year 7 (Grades 5-6, ages 10-12): 10 colouring pages where pupils work out calculations using the order of operations (BODMAS / BIDMAS), then colour each area with the matching colour. A calm, self-checking maths activity for March.

Each page is a St Patrick’s Day scene. Every area of the picture contains an expression with brackets, multiplication, division, addition or subtraction. Pupils follow the order of operations, find the answer in the colour key at the bottom of the page and colour the area. Areas without a calculation are left white, so a wrong answer is easy to spot.

What is included

  • 10 black and white colour-by-code pages on the order of operations
  • A colour key on every page
  • Instructions on each page: follow the order of operations, then colour

Ways to use

  • Maths lessons, starter activities and early finishers
  • Revision of BODMAS before tests and arithmetic papers
  • St Patrick’s Day, spring and March themed maths
  • Cover lessons, homework and calm independent work

Print on A4 or US Letter. PDF, US Letter (choose “Fit to page to print on A4). English.
