A complete Conti-style Spanish bundle on eating out: two full lessons plus a matching vocabulary worksheet. Everything you need to teach students to read a menu, order a meal politely, talk to the waiter, deal with problems at the table and understand how eating out works in Spain.

Teach the two lessons, then set the worksheet for homework or follow-up. Students meet the same chunks again in a new format, which is exactly the kind of repeated processing that makes language stick.

No prep: everything is ready to teach and print, with full answers, teacher notes and suggested timings.
Suitable for S2–S4 and Y8–10, National 4/5 and GCSE Foundation.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

En el restaurante: two-lesson PowerPoint (24 slides)
Lesson 1, ¿Qué van a tomar?: menu-reading starter, a label-the-dishes task, a sentence builder for ordering, an order-pad listening for four tables, a waiter-or-customer sort, a sentence jigsaw, a dice-roll ordering game and a draw-and-guess plenary.
Lesson 2, Comer fuera: anagram starter, a reading on eating out in Spain with questions in Spanish, fix the robot’s translation, problems at the table, a role play with printable surprise and problem cards, a write-the-conversation task with a colour-coded model and a ‘la cuenta’ exit task.

Ordering Food in a Restaurant vocabulary worksheet (with answers)
Matching, gap-fill and translation tasks, practising the same chunks as the lessons: quisiera pedir, ¿qué recomienda?, soy alérgico a…, la cuenta, por favor and more.

WHY THIS ONE’S DIFFERENT

Built on Gianfranco Conti’s Extensive Processing Instruction (EPI) methodology. Each lesson follows the full sequence: input, then listening and reading, then speaking, then independent writing. Students never produce language they haven’t processed first.

The lessons and worksheet are designed to work together: the worksheet recycles the lesson language rather than introducing new vocabulary, so students can work on it independently. The role-play cards mirror the unexpected question in exam role plays, so students practise reacting rather than reciting.

FORMAT

Fully editable PowerPoint files. Widescreen lesson slides with teacher notes, including the listening script and all answers, plus an A4 printable worksheet with a full answer key.
