Assess current maths skills across six domains with one Placement Check and four matching baseline routes: Early KS1, KS1, Early KS2 and KS2.

Exactly what is included?
Five complete A4 landscape PDF masters totalling 263 pages, plus one five-page preview. The five masters are: Maths Placement Check (45 pages; 48 evidence points), Early KS1 Baseline (57 pages), KS1 Baseline (53 pages), Early KS2 Baseline (54 pages) and KS2 Baseline (54 pages). Each baseline contains 24 coded activities and 96 task units: 432 assessment units across the five masters. Covers, guides, contents, keys and records are included in those page counts. The preview repeats selected pages and adds no extra activities.

Content routes, not chronological ages
Early KS1 samples foundational skills, practical grouping and sharing. KS1 samples Years 1–2 content. Early KS2 draws on lower-KS2 Years 3–4 skills, including rounding and first-quadrant coordinates; it is not exclusively Year 3. KS2 is predominantly upper-KS2 content, including ratio, fraction calculation, area, volume and mean. Different domains may require different routes.

A manageable assessment sequence
Use the brief placement screen to select relevant baseline domains. Print only the pages needed, in short untimed sessions. Every master has its own administration guide, complete adult keys and records. Independently used permitted equipment, valid access arrangements, incomplete evidence and later mathematical coaching are distinguished. The Placement Check has explicit missing-domain, tie and split-profile rules.

Preparation
Provide a pencil or usual recording tool and blank paper. Early KS1 practical tasks need neutral counters and empty trays, using the exact quantities in the key; KS1 permits counters on stated tasks. Other initial judgements use the fixed conditions in each guide. Keep adult keys hidden. Use all five revised editions together and compare older records only when task and access conditions match.

Print selected pages at Actual size / 100%, one PDF page per A4 landscape sheet. Pupil directions, options and diagram labels are at least 16 pt; numerals are larger where space permits. Small branding and footers are not pupil task text. Green identifies Assessment & Progress; level names are written as well as colour coded. The PDF has fixed pages, not editable worksheets; physical materials are not included.

These are the same five assessments sold separately; do not buy both if you already own them. The separate free sample is available to try the style. Designed for teacher-led SEN/SEND assessment, including older pupils working on earlier mathematical content. Select by current skills and access needs, not chronological age. This is a teacher-designed curriculum sample, not a standardised test, diagnosis or certificate of whole-stage attainment.
