In this activity, students will examine the formation of the Second Triumvirate and explore how the power-sharing arrangement among its three members led to the collapse of the Roman Republic. They will also investigate the key events and internal rivalries that drove the triumvirate apart, from the proscriptions and the Battle of Philippi through to the Battle of Actium and Octavian鈥檚 rise as the first Roman emperor.

It has 10 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
