A range of activities themed around the books and characters created by Roald Dahl. See the Resource Thumbnail images.
ESPECIALLY FOR ROALD DAHL DAY 13th SEPTEMBER and the day’s around it.

1. The main activity is BUILD YOUR OWN** OOMPA LOOPA** (Minecraft style)
   Using the nets provided to cut out and create the 5 separate cube/cuboids that will be assembled to build the Oompa Loompa.
   POWERPOINT INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED
   A black and white version is also included that can be coloured in by the students before assembly.
   A very good exercise in craft skills (cutting, building and working accurately)

2. A spot the difference (or perhaps it should be called Spot the Similarities) puzzle where the students have to find ‘Twins’ and ‘Triplets’ of Oomap Loompas. This is more challenging exercise than first it appears.

3. Two themed WORDSEARCH. a)BFG’s Find the words that appear in Roald’s book titles & b) Find the ingredients in George’s Marvellous Medicine.

4. 15 Themed mazes over 4 worksheets: Fantastic Mr. Fox, James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

5. Anagrams of some of Roald’s Book Titles to solve

The QUESTIONS & SOLUTIONS to ALL the Puzzles are also included so that they can be used in your own PowerPoints and other documents.
