• Lessons 1 to 5: Foundations and the first five poems. The task and the AOs, an overview of all fifteen poems, then close study of Millay, Frost, Mew and Jennings
• Lessons 6 to 10: Poems six to ten. MacNeice, Sexton, both Larkin poems (“Wild Oats” and “Talking in Bed”), and Heaney’s “Punishment” (handled with appropriate care)
• Lessons 11 to 15: Poems eleven to fifteen. Douglas, Harrison, Duffy, Muldoon, and a combined lesson on Symmons Roberts and Cope, completing full-anthology knowledge
• Lessons 16 to 20: Thematic synthesis across the anthology. Five thematic clusters built in turn: desire, loss and grief, marriage, selfhood and independence, and tradition and form
