Planets Coloring Pages fill 100 printable sheets with worlds, moons, and stars. Every body in the sky has been given a face, and each one is drawn with a different surface pattern.

The variation is what makes this pack useful. A child colors eight circles on a page and none of them are treated the same way.

Worlds on the Page

A ringed planet tilts across the center of the busiest sheet, its ring drawn as a flattened ellipse cutting behind and in front of the body. A cratered moon sits nearby, its surface pocked with rings of different sizes. One planet is banded with horizontal stripes running the width of the sphere. Another carries irregular landmass shapes curling across it like continents on a globe.

A shooting star streaks through with a five point head and a trailing tail. Around the planets you get outlined stars, small four point sparkles, and short curved lines that suggest motion or orbit. Loose dots stand in for distant stars.

The word PLANETS caps the sheets in open bubble capitals.

Educational Benefits
  • Science vocabulary arrives with the pictures: orbit, crater, ring, surface.
    • Comparison skills develop when students notice that no two planets share a pattern.
    • Circle control improves through page after page of curved outlines.
    • Scale conversation starts naturally when a moon sits beside a giant.
    • Pattern work is built into the banded and cratered surfaces.
How Teachers Use These
