Phonics pixels colour by sound mystery pictures for Reception to Year 3 (KS1, Grades K-2): 30 pixel art worksheets that practise short vowels, digraphs and long vowel sounds. Pupils read each word in the grid, find the target sound in the colour key, and colour the square to reveal a mystery picture. A quiet, self-checking phonics activity that suits the whole class at three levels.

There are 10 mystery pictures (including an ice cream, a strawberry, an owl and a car), each in three levels. Level 1 covers short vowels (short a, e, i, o, u) for Reception and Year 1. Level 2 covers the digraphs sh, ch, th, wh and ck for Year 1. Level 3 covers long vowel spellings (a_e, i_e, o_e, u_e and ee) for Years 2 and 3. The whole class can colour the same picture while working at their own level.
