Overview:

• Consolidation of vocabulary describing holidays (place, length of stay, location, weather, etc) using 3 tenses (mostly past and present).
• Ideal as a revision or cover lesson. The worksheet can also be used as homework.

Lesson breakdown:

1. Do Now - 5 questions to activate prior knowledge, settle students and prepare them for the lesson ahead (inspired by Teach Like a Champion).
2. Read and choose - exposes students to essential vocabulary whilst checking comprehension.
3. Active translation with 1st letter prompt - supports vocabulary recall while encouraging independent language production.
4. French to English translation - reinforces comprehension of key vocabulary.
5. English to French translation - strengthens ability to produce accurate French sentences by applying vocabulary and grammar in context.
