Othello A-level/A Level/KS5 lesson exploring an exam-style question for the AQA Love Through the Ages unit. We evaluate whether we see Iago as an anti-hero or a villain, and then tie our perspectives into Iago鈥檚 attitudes towards love.

The lesson includes detailed analysis of a provided extract and very detailed notes on Iago鈥檚 views on women, gender, love and relationships throughout the rest of the play.

Additionally, we link in our discussions to Elizabethan/Jacobean context and how Iago鈥檚 views may have been seen differently by prejudiced Jacobean audiennces.

Includes a range of engaging activities, worksheets, extensive notes for teachers and students and more. Perfect for English Literature exam preparation and for KS5 English students exploring Shakespeare and Elizabethan/Jacobean drama.

Includes structured questions for A-Level student discussion as well.
