Start 2026 with a fun goal-setting writing craft activity! These disco mirror ball goal spinners are a creative way for pupils to record what they want to achieve, learn, try, or improve in 2026. With options for 4, 5 or 6 goals, you can choose the right fit for your class.

The templates

Choose a template with space for either 4, 5, or 6 goals.

  • Option 1: Colour the top of the template (the disco ball), write 4 New Year goals on the bottom part, cut and assemble.
  • Option 2: As above but with 5 goals.
  • Option 3: As above but with 6 goals.

Additional templates are included for 2027 and 2028.

What do you need?

  • Templates printed on white card (each child will need a top and bottom part).
  • Coloured pencils (include different shades of the same color).

No, the PDF is not editable. Versions with US and UK spelling are included.

These templates can be used with multiple age groups. **The spinner templates** * Option 1: Colour the top of the template (the disco ball), write 4 New Year goals on the bottom part, cut and assemble. * Option 2: As above but with 5 goals. * Option 3: As above but with 6 goals. **The accordion templates** There is a selection of templates to choose from. * Template 1: 4 boxes for goals, with 3 writing lines per box. * Template 2: 4 boxes for goals, with 2 writing lines per box. * Template 3: 4 boxes with writing lines and a picture space in each box * Template 4: 6 boxes for goals, with 2 writing lines per box. For templates 1-4, use the disco ball options with the message 'My 2026 Goals’ or ‘New Year Goals’. * Template 5: 4 boxes with a New Year writing prompt in each one. * Template 6: 6 boxes with a New Year writing prompt in each one. **Is the resource editable?** The PDFs are not editable with the exception of the prompts on accordion templates 5 and 6. On these templates only, you can type in the text boxes. To write in the boxes, make sure the PDF is opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) and not in your device’s preview mode. US and UK versions of all files are included.
