I have produced this complete bundle of AQA A Level History resources on Nazi Germany 1933–41, focusing on the development of the Nazi racial state, anti-Semitic policy, the Holocaust and the radicalisation of Nazi persecution.

This unit of work helps students develop a deeper understanding of how Nazi ideology, Social Darwinism, racial theory and the Volksgemeinschaft shaped government policy and led to the persecution and murder of millions.

Students will explore how Hitler’s vision of a racially pure Volksgemeinschaft led to the exclusion of those considered undesirable, including minority groups, disabled people and Jewish communities.

They will assess how Nazi ideas about race, eugenics and Lebensraum influenced the development of increasingly extreme policies.

Students will examine key turning points including the Nuremberg Laws, Anschluss, Kristallnacht, the invasion of Poland, the creation of ghettos and the actions of the Einsatzgruppen and the Final Solution.

Through source analysis, case studies and exam practice, students will evaluate why Nazi persecution intensified during the war years.
