Los mandados (errands): Present and Preterit sentence translation practice

GREAT for classwork, homework, review, test prep, or sub plan.

Translate each sentence into Spanish using the present and preterit tenses. Use the word bank below for places.

*There are 8 places total.

*Places included: el banco / la farmacia / la estaci贸n de servicio / el consultorio /el correo / el consultorio del dentista / el centro / el supermercado

*For each place, students will translate one sentence in the present tense and one in the preterit tense.

*The same sentence is used once in the present tense and once in the preterit.

*The infinitive used in each sentence along with its English translation are provided.

*A table with present tense and preterit tense -ar, -er, -ir verb endings is included.

Sample:

  1. I cash a check at the bank. (to cash a check: cobrar un cheque)

Template: Subject + Conjugated verb (present tense) + Rest

  1. I cashed a check at the bank.

Template: Subject + Conjugated verb (preterit tense) + Rest

Answer key is included on pages 5-8.

This practice can be used with chapter 3A of Realidades 2.
