Last Day of First Grade Coloring Pages close out the year with 70 printable sheets of backpacks, apples, and crayons for the final week of school.

What Fills the Pages

The objects are the ones sitting in the classroom already. A backpack with two straps and a front zip pocket takes the center of several sheets. Beside it you might find a sharpened pencil with the wood grain showing at the tip, a crayon still in its paper wrapper, or a spiral notebook with the rings drawn one by one along the edge. Apples appear with a short stem and a single leaf. A few pages stack two or three closed books into a small tower. The heading changes shape as you move through the file: on most sheets Last Day of First Grade sits in three lines of outlined capitals, while other pages set it in a rounded lowercase script. Stars and hearts fill the background, and one page adds a sun in the upper corner.

Educational Benefits
  • Name recognition of everyday classroom objects is reinforced as children color familiar items.
    • Letter formation awareness grows on the word art, especially where capitals and script versions of the same phrase appear.
    • Careful edge work is required by the spiral rings and the pencil tip, which are the tightest shapes here.
    • Reflection happens naturally when a child colors a page marking the end of their school year.
    • Keepsake value grows when finished sheets go home with a date attached.
Ways to Use Them
  • Final week countdown activities
    • Memory book or scrapbook pages
    • Awards day table activity
    • Something calm for the morning after the last test
    • Class party stations
    • Gifts for families at a year end assembly
