An editable KS3 Spanish lesson developing confidence with “juego a…” vs “hago…” when talking about sports and leisure, suitable for Year 7-8. This final lesson in the Free Time unit supports students in recognising the difference between noun-based sports (“juego al fútbol / juego al tenis”) and activity-based sports (“hago natación / hago gimnasia”), and teaches them to apply each structure accurately.

The PPT provides a complete teaching sequence including retrieval practice, explicit grammar noticing, controlled speaking tasks and a scaffolded written outcome. Students also complete a highlighter-style worksheet where they identify language patterns, spot errors and analyse correct model sentences - an ideal diagnostic activity before writing.

The lesson provides space for students to extend sentences using opinions and reasons (“porque es divertido / porque es sano”) and can be used as a light end-of-unit assessment if desired.
