This French scavenger hunt is a fun and engaging way for KS3 pupils to revise vocabulary and key phrases linked to les passetemps (hobbies).
The resource includes 10 short texts in French to display around the classroom, requiring pupils then move around the room.
Each text includes a question, but the answers are found in different texts, encouraging careful reading, scanning for information and making connections.
Correct answers become code words, which pupils record on an answer grid. Once all code words have been found, pupils use the shaded boxes on the grid to unscramble a final Mystery Word.
This activity can be completed individually or in pairs/small groups and is ideal for end of topic revision, topic consolidation, cover lessons or an active change of pace.
