Why is Passover important?

This lesson is fully aligned with the Northamptonshire Agreed Syllabus 2025–2030 and forms Lesson 2 of Unit 1.5: What do Jews believe and how may they live?

This lesson introduces the festival of Passover. Pupils explore how Jewish people remember the story of Moses through the Seder meal and begin to understand how food can represent meaning.
