Introduce young learners to technology with this engaging Kindergarten Digital Citizenship Curriculum. Designed as a complete 36-week program, this yearlong resource builds foundational technology skills while teaching children how to use devices safely, communicate kindly, protect personal information, develop healthy screen habits, and become responsible digital creators.

The curriculum includes 36 weekly lessons, scripted teacher lesson plans, a 120-page student workbook, 180 presentation slides, 80 no-prep printable worksheets, 20 hands-on crafts and classroom activities, 36 exit tickets, 10 picture-based mini assessments requiring no reading, 6 unit projects with rubrics and family notes, complete answer keys, graphs, class charts, student tracking pages, and family connection activities. Print-and-go materials allow teachers to use the curriculum with or without classroom technology.

Each lesson follows a predictable routine that can be taught in 45–60 minutes or divided into three 15–20 minute sessions. Lessons include a bell ringer, teacher mini lesson, interactive slides, shared reading, guided notes, hands-on practice, partner discussion, real-world technology scenarios, independent activities, exit tickets, and optional family connections. The flexible format works even in classrooms with only one shared device.

Students develop essential digital citizenship and technology skills across six age-appropriate units. They learn about technology and common devices, computer parts, and classroom technology; practice safe device use, care, sharing, and turn-taking; explore kindness and positive communication in digital spaces; learn about trusted adults, private information, safe online choices, passwords, pop-ups, and asking for help; develop healthy screen habits through movement, breaks, eye safety, outdoor play, and balanced routines; and begin creating digital drawings, photos, voice recordings, and simple digital stories while learning to share work safely.

Ideal for Kindergarten classrooms, technology and computer classes, library and media centers, STEM enrichment, homeschool programs, whole-group instruction, and print or digital learning environments. With developmentally appropriate activities, picture-based assessments, crafts, projects, slides, worksheets, and family connections, this curriculum makes digital citizenship engaging and accessible while helping children build safe, healthy, kind, and responsible technology habits from the very beginning.
