A complete, no-prep GCSE Religious Studies enquiry: "What do Jewish people believe, and how do they live out the covenant?"

A complete, no-prep GCSE Religious Studies unit on Jewish beliefs, teachings and practices, designed for AQA Specification A (8062), Component 1. Twelve exam-focused lessons follow the two-part shape of the specification: six on beliefs and teachings (the nature of God, the Messiah and the Messianic age, the covenant, the sanctity of life, the mitzvot and free will, and beliefs about the afterlife) and six on practices (worship in the synagogue and home, Shabbat, prayer, the rituals of the life cycle, the dietary laws, and the festivals). The diversity of Jewish belief and practice — especially between Orthodox and Reform movements, and on the afterlife — is treated fairly throughout. Where a source strengthens a point, the unit quotes briefly and verbatim from a named public-domain translation of the Tanakh (the 1917 Jewish Publication Society translation), always cited. The pack includes projectable teaching decks, a teacher guide, differentiated worksheets, a real-photo Sources & Artefacts pack, a revision knowledge organiser, a full exam-practice booklet with a mark scheme and worked model 12-mark answers, and baseline and end-of-unit assessments. Beliefs are always attributed (‘Jewish people believe…’); the Jewish scriptures are called the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible, never the ‘Old ÌÇÐÄVlogtament’. Designed for AQA Specification A (8062); not endorsed by or affiliated with AQA.
