Attached is a Powerpoint which guides students through the first 2 chapters of this great book which would be suitable for either Y8 and 9.

It’s set in the first world war. It focuses at the start on women’s perspectives which is important and I feel that it sets students up nicely for studying An Inspector Calls later as it explores social issues around this time, particularly of gender roles here.
