This Integrated Mathematics unit helps students connect ratios, proportional thinking, measurement and geometry through a structured learning pathway and a real-world design project. Students progress from guided examples and scaffolded Bronze, Silver and Gold practice tasks to creating a scale drawing of a community recreation space that meets a range of mathematical constraints. Topics include ratio, unit conversion, scale drawings, perimeter, area, angles, percentages and proportional reasoning.
