There are 2 multiplication symbols (dot and cross), they have a difference in their usage with vectors.<br /> The dot is not used at lower levels, as it may confusion some with the decimal point. <br /> N.B. The dot is written half way between the lines and is larger.

Fine, except for multiplication its used a decimal point and in the UK system that is incorrect.
