Get Reception moving this Halloween with a visual, colourful, interactive PowerPoint for physical development. Children move like bats, spiders, ghosts and witches, then play a listening game where they freeze like statues when the music stops. Short slides introduce balance poses, such as witch, cat and one-leg, and pathways, including straight, wiggly, zigzag and curly. Two hands-on activities invite children to perform a creature dance and tackle a spooky trail using hoops and ribbons, practising hopping, jumping, stepping over and balancing. A calming sleepy-ghost slide teaches slow breathing so children settle after energetic play. Very few words and big ideas make it easy to read aloud, and friendly speech-bubble prompts such as Find your own space keep everyone joining in. This no-prep, ready-to-teach seasonal resource suits PE sessions, indoor wet-play days, Halloween week and cover lessons. Linked to the EYFS Physical Development area. 12 slides including a where-this-leads-next slide previewing Year 1. British spelling throughout.
