This PowerPoint presentation describes the need for Global Car Recycling Day, what it means to recycle cars responsibly and how children can help with the campaign to help protect the environment. It is aimed at KS2 but would also work for some older KS1 children and year 7 of KS3 pupils, as either a lesson resource or an assembly or tutor activity. It is just 5 slides, covering the main points to either follow-up the related Global Car Recycling Day video or to be used as a stand-alone resource. Global Car Recycling Day mascot ‘Carlu’ helps describes why it is important to recycle cars, how responsible car recycling protects the environment and how children can help this important campaign. There are lots of other supporting resources available related to this presentation - activity worksheets, puzzles, drawing and colouring. The last slide has discussion points for older pupils called ‘things to talk about’.
