This KS1 Fruit Pack supports learning linked to food, fruit and plants, with a focus on developing vocabulary, spelling, speaking and listening skills.
The resource has 15 pages and includes 25 colour fruit flashcards, suitable for classroom displays, vocabulary discussions and fruit identification activities.
The cards can be printed twice to create matching pairs or used for sorting, grouping and memory games.
Children can also use the fruit drawing templates, which provide written fruit names alongside spaces for their own illustrations.
Additional colouring and labelling activities help children recognise, name and describe different fruits. The selection includes familiar fruits, such as apples, bananas and oranges, alongside less familiar varieties, including starfruit, lychees and pomegranates, providing opportunities to introduce and practise new vocabulary.
The pack also contains four sets of three worksheets, offering different ways to practise fruit recognition and spelling. Each set includes a colourful worksheet featuring fruits with jumbled letters inside, challenging children to identify the fruit and rearrange the letters to spell its name correctly. These sheets can also be used for whole-class demonstrations and shared spelling activities. Black-and-white versions allow children to colour the fruits, identify the letters and practise writing the correct words. A further set of clear fruit outlines provides opportunities for colouring, cutting out, labelling and arranging pictures to create a fruit bowl, collage or classroom display. The activities support vocabulary development, spelling, fine motor skills and creativity across KS1.
