A three-page Halloween worksheet, plus an answer key, on personification, metaphor and hyperbole. The lesson fits in one box, with an example for each figure and a reminder of the trap: with “comme, it is a simile, not a metaphor.

Students identify six figures, write their own spooky sentences after a shared example, read a short text, La maison Delorme, to underline the figures and explain three of them, then turn two similes into metaphors. The “Les mots maudits crossword asks them to find the missing word and name the figure in each clue.

One period, alone or in pairs, around Halloween or on a substitute day. The answer key is included. Written entirely in French. Thank you, and a review helps the store a lot.
