Free self-regulation activities for KS2 with 3 calm classroom reset cards, 4 desk strips and choice-led guidance for Years 3-6.

Help pupils pause, choose a familiar strategy and reconnect with learning through a consistent Notice - Choose - Reset - Return routine. This free, print-and-go sample is designed for ordinary classroom moments such as transitions, busy attention, frustration and returning to a task.

These activities are research-informed and draw on established principles of self-regulation and self-regulated learning: noticing cues, choosing a familiar strategy and identifying one manageable next step.

Their simplicity is intentional - short, predictable routines are easier to model, practise and recall when attention is busy. No single strategy works for every pupil, but offering choice and practising familiar routines can support attention and a workable return to learning.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

  • 5-page A4 colour PDF which contains:
  • 1-page teacher quick guide
