Help students practice responsible leadership by making a difficult decision and considering how that choice affects others.
This free one-page high school activity presents students with a team leadership scenario involving time, accuracy, fairness, and disagreement. Students must listen to competing viewpoints, identify their responsibilities, make a decision, and think through the consequences of that choice.

Students will:

  • identify the needs of different team members
  • consider their responsibilities as a leader
  • make and explain a decision
  • balance time, accuracy, and fairness
  • respond to disagreement without dismissing another person’s concerns
Designed for a quick 15–20 minute discussion, writing activity, leadership exercise, advisory lesson, or homeschool reflection for grades 9–12.
