This food-sorting activity is designed for Year 1 pupils to explore where everyday foods come from. Children look at pictures of different foods and sort them into three groups: grown, reared and caught. The activity encourages them to talk about how plants, animals and the sea provide food, helping them understand that food does not simply come from a shop.
