Five senses colouring book for science: sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell explained in simple words for Year 1 to Year 4 (Kindergarten to Grade 3) pupils.

Each sense gets a short, clear explanation and a page to colour, followed by a page of surprising animal facts that children love to share.

What is included

  • 10 black and white pages
  • Cover page with a five senses diagram (eye, ear, nose, hand and tongue linked to the brain) and a space for the child’s name
  • 5 explanation pages: Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste, Smell. Each explains how the body part sends a message to the brain (retina and optic nerve, eardrum, skin receptors, taste buds, olfactory bulb) with a detailed picture to colour
  • 4 “Did you know?â€ pages with fun facts (eagles see 8 times farther than humans, bats use echoes, some fish taste with their skin, dogs smell up to 100,000 times better than us) and a scene to colour

Ways to use

  • Introduction or review of a five senses or human body topic
  • Read-aloud and discussion: pupils find the sense organ on each page
  • Quiet colouring after a sensory investigation (tasting, smelling or touch boxes)
  • Early finishers, science centres or a take-home booklet
  • Supply cover lesson that needs little preparation

Print single pages or staple the set into a booklet. PDF, US Letter (choose “Fit to page to print on A4). English.
