Students practise safety, calling for help, bleeding, burns, unconsciousness, breathing, AED awareness, choking, seizures, head injuries, heat emergencies, hypothermia and teamwork through short 5–15 minute Mini-Missions.

Popis (volitelné)

Classroom Mini-Missions: First Aid – Junior Rescuers is a ready-to-use set of 30 short, scenario-based first aid activities for Grades 4–6.

Instead of memorizing long lists of rules, students work with realistic situations they may encounter at school, at home, on the playground, during sports, or on a trip. They observe what is happening, identify risks, decide what should happen first, choose when to call an adult or emergency services, and adjust their response when the situation changes.

The activities focus on practical decision-making rather than complex medical terminology or diagnosis. Students practise recognizing unsafe situations, responding to bleeding and burns, identifying abnormal breathing, understanding the basic role of an AED, recognizing choking and seizures, responding to head injuries, heat-related illness and hypothermia, and working together in more complex emergency scenarios.

What’s included:

  • 30 standalone Mini-Missions
  • complete solutions for self-checking
  • 5 thematic blocks with 6 missions each
  • safety and risk assessment activities
  • calling emergency services and communicating with a dispatcher
  • bleeding, wounds, limb injuries and burns
  • unconsciousness, breathing, CPR and AED awareness
  • choking and seizures
  • head injuries, breathing difficulties, overheating and hypothermia
  • teamwork and changing-condition scenarios
  • difficulty levels from basic to challenge
  • differentiation ideas
  • teacher guidance, assessment suggestions and safety notes
  • printable cards designed as two A5 cards on one A4 sheet
  • option to print tasks and solutions double-sided for self-checking

Most activities take 5–15 minutes, while the more complex final missions may take up to 15 minutes. They can be used as lesson starters, review activities, pair or group work, health or science activities, homeroom tasks, safety lessons, or as part of a first aid and prevention program.

The material also includes clear safety guidance. It is designed for classroom learning and decision-making practice and does not replace practical first aid training.

No complex preparation required — print, choose a mission, and start.
