28 History writing worksheets with corresponding teachers’ notes and additional writing frames in a 73-page PDF. Two introductory lessons develop essay planning and organisation, followed by 13 historical topics, each with a preparation activity and a structured writing activity.

Topics include 1066, castles, the medieval Church, religious change, the English Civil War, agricultural and industrial change, the world wars, the Russian Revolution and life in Nazi Germany. Students organise facts and evidence, sequence ideas and develop narrative, analytical and imaginative historical writing.

Designed for Key Stage 3 across the ability range. Historical content must be taught before the topic worksheets are used: the pack develops writing skills and does not supply a full set of facts for each topic. Teachers’ notes provide aims, preparation, classroom guidance, differentiation and extension work. The appendix reproduces writing frames with space for students’ responses.
