Elf job application booklet for Year 2 to Year 4 (KS1-KS2, Grades 1-3): 15 pages of Christmas creative writing in which pupils apply for a job at Santa’s workshop. They read the Help Wanted advert, check which elf qualities they have, fill in an application form, design an elf badge and finally receive a certificate of acceptance.

Pupils practise persuasive and descriptive writing in a fun, imaginative context: why do I want to work in Santa’s workshop? What special skills do I have? What tool would help the elves? Every page has a large picture to draw or colour, so it also works well as a calm Christmas activity.
