This is a lesson I used myself to teach the Electromagnetic Induction concept of the Fields Unit - A level Physics, AQA specification.

Learning objective: To understand how electromagnetic induction occurs, apply Faraday鈥檚 and Lenz鈥檚 Laws, and investigate how changing magnetic flux through a coil induces an electromotive force (EMF).

By the end of the lesson learners should be able to:

Success criteria:

SC1: Describe how a changing magnetic field induces a current in a conductor (Faraday鈥檚 Law).

SC2: Explain how Lenz鈥檚 Law ensures energy is conserved in induced current direction.

SC3: Apply the equation for magnetic flux linkage 桅=BANcos胃 and interpret flux linkage and emf-time graphs.

Contains past paper questions that target this topic, some questions require knowledge from prior lessons. The mark scheme is also included to verify answers.

Powerpoint contains 13 slides and 8 past paper questions.
