Easter maths colour by number for Year 6-7 (KS2-KS3): ten order of operations (BODMAS) pages in which pupils solve each expression, find the answer in the colour key and reveal an Easter picture, one section at a time.

Each page hides 14 to 15 expressions in the sections of a picture. Pupils work out the answer, match it to the key and colour the section, so the picture only appears when their maths is correct. The same checked set of 15 expressions repeats across the scenes for extra practice.

What is included (10 pages, PDF)

  • 10 Easter scenes to colour: the Easter bunny’s garden, the Easter egg cottage, the chick’s Easter picnic, the Easter basket workshop, the Easter egg tree, the Easter egg hunt, an Easter balloon ride, an Easter celebration and more
  • 14 to 15 expressions per page, with a colour key on every page (answers 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15)
  • Brackets, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction (no indices)
  • Areas without a calculation stay white

Ways to use

  • Maths practice in the last week of the spring term
  • Morning work or early finishers
  • A self-checking activity for BODMAS and the order of operations
  • Cover lessons, wet play and homework
  • A calm Easter colouring task for the end of term

The pages are black and white, so they are cheap to print. A picture that looks wrong tells pupils to check their working, which makes these Easter colour by number pages a good way to practise accuracy. They suit upper KS2 and Year 7 classes.

PDF, US Letter (choose “Fit to page to print on A4). English.
