A simplified, adult-supported introduction to selected KS2 physical-geography ideas for England Years 3–4. Explore earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, rivers and changes to land through reading, vocabulary, sorting, drawing and short writing. Includes optional tracing/copying as vocabulary support. Not a full geography or science unit, and not a claim that all process terminology is statutory at this age.

26 A4 pages: cover, adult guidance,18 pupil pages, teacher skills checklist, four answer-key pages and terms. Three short passages cover fast changes, slow changes and people changing land. Activities include matching, two sorts, cause/effect, event labels, gap-fill, local-place comparison, writing, true/false, sequencing, drawing, riddles, helpful/harmful discussion, word practice and a check.

Clear distinctions: weathering breaks rock down in place; erosion removes material; transportation carries it; deposition settles it. Fast/slow labels refer to the stated examples, not fixed rules: erosion can also happen quickly. The eruption of a volcano is an event; a volcano itself is a feature.

Print pupil pages3–20 on A4. Read passages together, discuss unfamiliar words and model the first task. Generous drawing/sorting boxes and writing lines. Keys give closed answers and accept accurate open responses, labelled drawings and justified contextual alternatives. Flood defences and land management are discussed with context, not automatically marked helpful in every situation.

Paper-and-pencil only. Use a familiar place from memory or a classroom picture; no visit, experiment or land-changing activity required. Adult guidance warns against approaching floodwater, river edges, steep slopes or unstable ground.

Includes standalone26-page PDF and ZIP containing only that same PDF. Public cover and pupil sample/preview contain no keys. Single-classroom licence.
